I tried to install Pharo and the PBE image from the PBE website and
nothing works, or matches the book. I get message about a missing
SqueakV39.sources, and then it hangs.  I'm using WindowsXp SP3.  I'd
rather be using OSX 10.6, but that seems to be messed up also. What do
I need to do to get this working, or to provide more information.

Hi Chuck,

On page 4 of the book it is explained that you need four files to run Pharo, including the SqueakV3.9.sources file.  You can download that from the Pharo web site.  The sources should be in the same location as the VM (the .exe file).  Then it should work.

Perhaps someone who uses Pharo under Windows can fill in further details if that does not work ...
