Master's Studies
The Master's program in Computer Science of the University of Bern enables its graduates to obtain leadership positions in industry, administration, and research. It offers courses in the following areas of specialization:
- Advanced software engineering
- Artificial intelligence and pattern recognition
- Computer graphics
- Computer networks and distributed systems
- Theoretical computer science and logic
Besides providing a broad basic education, our MSc studies produce high level and internationally competitive research in the areas mentioned above.
Our MSc program consists of 90 ECTS credit points of which 45 credits are obtained from a wide variety of advanced courses and 45 credits are obtained by writing a Master's thesis. Our students work in small groups and receive intensive support from their supervisors. Moreover, we offer an excellent student to teacher ratio as well as great flexibility in the development of an individual study plan.

International Students
Admission into the MSc program in Computer Science requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and is subject to approval by the admissions services of the University of Bern. Master Grants for International Students
